I'm obese so it's important to get the right sleep. Here's the TLDR: I slept awesome. I managed to sleep on my back for the first time in years. And I'll have to see how it is after a few months to be sure it didn't start sagging, but for now, I'm very happy. For more details, read on.When I was younger I loved to sleep on the floor, but as I got heavier, that became impossible. I used to use just a 2 inch soft foam mattress with a Japanese mattress on top (really a firmer comforter that's perfect for sleeping on). For a person who loves to sleep on a flat surface and went camping a lot, it took a while for me to finally decide to get a better mattress. The conventional wisdom is that you should pay over $1000 for a 12 inch mattress that's.. bla bla bla, I wouldn't ever do that. It's not that I don't care enough to spend on sleep, it's that I won't be robbed, just because I'm sick.I knew that for me, firmer is better. So my standards were, 1. it shouldn't offgas and 2. it should be very firm and 3. I never want it to compress 12 inches because that could distort my back. And it's ok if it bottoms out or almost, because I just need it to lift me up a little so my bones don't press so hard on my flesh as I sleep.I bought the Twin XL 8" firm one and it's perfectly priced, and well made. There was no nasty chemical smell. It was completely odorless. I suspected it would be because of the bamboo and activated charcoal in it. And they probably let it outgas properly before packaging. I'm so grateful for that.I wasn't expecting that I'd wake up 100% free of pain this morning. First use. I rolled onto my back and after I woke I was like, OMG I'm not aching, don't move. Don't mess up the moment. I must've stayed there, making small stretches and adjustments for 30 min or longer. Still no aches. I have arthritis, so if you have that too, you can imagine how much of a miracle that is.A couple of quibbles I should mention: The edges are rounded instead of reinforced, this leads to a feeling that you're slipping off if you get too clse to the edge of the mattress. I'm a minimalist, so I got the Twin XL, but I probably should consider upgrading in the future to full or queen, but the manufacturer could improve the product by making the edges more square and even firmer than the rest of the mattress. The other quibble is that there's really no way to let it expand fully before use. You're at the mercy of when it's delivered, and it's heavy, so you'll have to let it expand while it's on your bed. I guess you can sleep on your couch for a day or two, but probably you'll sleep on it partly expanded. Just stay away from the edges because I was feeling the edge, and it was a little wrinkled still. If I was in the center, it was fine.A couple of specifics about my situation: I don't want to put it on the floor because I'm scared of creepy crawlers, so I have a platform bed made of a sturdy base and 1" plywood cut to size. There's an old blanket layer over the wood so there's no splinters getting into any mattress. Then I have the mattress on top of that. I have a variety of mattress covers, futon, etc, I want to try. But the first day I slept on it with just a sheet over that.I'm also "decompensated" which means I can start to breathe heavy and have to sit down with the slightest exertion. Even the Twin XL was 33 lbs. That's really heavy for me. I had help with setting it on the bed frame and etc. If you live alone, consider the weight of the mattress before buying. Foam mattresses are always heavy.Overall, I'm extremely happy with it. The price is great, don't overpay for something fancier. Don't limit the use of these wonderful mattresses just for kids. It could improve your sleep a lot, even as an adult.Family was all buying $600 linen spa new mattress.........I had a mattress but needed uplift , it bought this and it is working Great, very comfy!I can't say much as I'm not the one who sleeps on it , got it for my 4 year old while it was on sale. But he seems to like it and sleep well. Has a washable top on it so that's a plus. What more do you want from a mattress under $200.? It’s excellent for the price and I plan to buy again every year or 2. Better than a $1000 mattress that will cave in in just a few short years anyway.Mattresses on a folding bed is not sufficient for adults and makes you feel you are at camp. The 5” mattress is the perfect topper to dress just like a real bed. The sleep quality is very good.I needed a super thin mattress for a top bunk and this is perfect! No pictures because it’s in my daughters room but she loves itCame well packaged and did not notice any strong odors from plastic or storage. The center crease from folding in the vacuum bag took about 24hrs to fully expand and disappear. I’ve found 5” to be perfect for comfort. And we use it just directly on the floor. The foam is ideal for sneaking away from a sleeping toddler without waking! It arrived well packaged, clean, and has no noticeable smell. I ordered (twin size) after reading a review that stated it was perfect for the IKEA KURA bed.It is the perfect width but the length is a couple inches too short. It can’t be used on the top when the bed is set up in the loft style but it will be fine underneath.I wish it was the right length but that’s my own fault for not measuring/checking before ordering.Over all I’m happy with the purchase.Received the mattress almost a week ahead of it’s delivery date at checkout. Unboxing/unwrapping was easy and the mattress was fully expanded within 12 hours and I slept on it the same night. Let me tell you that this mattress is by far the best and worst investment I ever made. It’s the best because I have slept on it for 5 nights now and I can already notice the quality of sleep has increased exponentially. Before this mattress I rarely dreamt or I did and did not remember upon awakening. In the 5 nights I have had dreams every night that were remembered the next day very clearly. It’s like my subconscious mind is living a whole different life while I sleep. Now this mattress is the worst because it literally makes you want to stay in bed. It’s so comfy that you wake up wanting to call into work and stay in bed all day. So just be aware that. I live a free spirited lifestyle so I can easily stay in bed as long as I want but for the working lifestyle this might be a challenge you will have to overcome. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Anyway overall I highly recommend this mattress and if I get two years out of it I will be happy.I bought 2 of these, one for each of my children, my daughter aged 9, and my son aged 11.I was a little concerned about the "Firm" rating of the mattress in the product description, making me unsure if it would be the right buy. We've had them in use for a week now, and my daughter is thrilled saying "it's perfect". My son enjoyed a restful sleep on his too - so my initial concerns have now disappeared. In addition, the light weight of the mattress makes it easy for the kids to make the bed with their fitted sheets. Just like the ad says! The mattresses expanded to their full size within 24 hours of being removed from the box, and there was no discernible odor like that mentioned in at least one other review.I highly recommend for your kids!Only good things about this mattress are that it does not smell too much and it is made in Serbia (Europe) and not made in China. The mattress never fully expanded to 5 inches. Actually, 2 corners never expanded at all and are still flat. I followed the directions precisely and have purchased compressed/expandable mattresses before and was expecting better. The other problem is that the dimensions are wrong.
