I previously had a mattress pad made of the same material as this pad, and it lasted me a good 7 years. I had a hard time locating a similar pad, I bought a memory foam pad, which lasted about 1 month. I then bought a different style pad that lasted about 2 months. Those pads were expensive and complete garbage. This one however is a jewel. It will last you many years and is quite soft. I highly recommend. Two things you should know. The king size version actually comes as two smaller pads. And the pads tend run thinner than you might expect. So if you're on the fence about whether or not to get the 2" or the 3" version, you will probably want to go with the 3", because it looks and feels more like a 2" pad to me.
