Purchased for my wife, who works hard everyday for our family. She was having poor sleep while sleeping on a futon. Her first couple of nights she said it helped her sleep. The mattress expanded to 7.5 inches. We Purchased the 8inch twin size. It feels like a cloud. It's firm but not too firm. You can definitely feel the memory foam. I think it was definitely worth the money. May purchase again down the road for my son or myself. The smell was normal for a memory foam. Aired out for alittle. Smell got better after 24 hrs in well ventilation.
