I'm going to give it four stars only because I was not prepared for the sensation that it is sucking all the heat out of my body... Otherwise, it is the exact memory foam you see on TV that leaves the handprint and it is certainly thick enough to support what I call my "bubble butt". I'm not a big girl but I am super curvy and my lower back hurts unless I surround myself with pillows. The memory foam does exactly what I had hoped it would do and I am actually able to sleep on my back for the first time in years without several pillows supporting my curves.The cold sensation is a bummer. I don't consider myself cold by nature and I'm certainly not frail or sickly, but I have had to put a flannel sheet and an additional fleece blanket under my regular fitted sheet to add warmth. That wasn't enough, because I was still layering on the hoodie and a long sleeve tee over my tank top at night... and I still felt like heat was being sucked away. Finally, I added my grandmother's old-school crocheted blanket underneath my body as a top sheet layer. That did the trick to fix the cold feeling. Much cozier, now. Even my husband got up couple of times to say it was cold in the bed, and he is a burly outdoorsman. We also live in cold in New England, so we have a high tolerance. It must be a memory foam thing... just didnt anticipate that issue.(In the picture, I tried to show you how many layers I put over the foam, so it does not "feel cold" underneath me)BUT... the "comfort level" is there, the shaping around my body, everything you would hope this investment to be, from that perspective. Makes a mid-priced mattress feel like a very expensive mattress!Mine was compressed in saran wrap. It unrolled itself and reached its full dimensions (37 x 73 x 1.5 ) in a little over one minute. There is small tear on one of the sides. It doesn't go through the whole thickness and it doesn't affect anything. There was no smell until I slept on it. Between my body heat and being so close I could smell something coming from the topper. But the smell was very slight, and now it doesn't smell at all. If you brush your hand along the topper it feels grabby like an old pool noodle. The pool noodle is much firmer though.If I had tried this in the store I would have purchased something else because it doesn't offer any support. This isn't one of those toppers you can throw on the floor for an emergency guest. Its very soft and it squishes to nothing under very little pressure. If you remove your weight it takes a moment to regain its original height. It doesn't push you back at all. I'm not sure who would like this. I know I prefer a topper that pushes back a little.To compare, latex toppers have much more spring and support for the same thickness - trouble is they stink. And the stink never goes away. This is the opposite - no spring, no support, no smell. I wouldn't have bought this eLuxury topper if I had tried it first, but it does make the mattress just a little more comfortable and it doesn't smell, so I'm keeping it.I'm shocked at bad reviews. I bought one about a year ago and just bought another for a different bed. It is true to size and fluffed up perfectly. Was clean and has minimal smell. I might buy a 3rd for my bed. The other two were for my kidsTried 2 other brands before getting this one, and this is just right! Not too soft or thin. I have a firm matter with a built-on mattress topper which is great for support but lacked give on pressure points. This foam topper provides just enough give on pressure points, without losing overall support.It was a bit thin upon arrival; why do they squish the heck out of it to get it in a box? I laid it out flat for two days, flipping it over after the first day, and that worked beautifully. There were no kinks or creases, no weird smell, and the size fit my queen mattress perfectly. I use it under my mattress pad cover to help keep it in place: The size of the topper fits well under the fitted sheet. Others I've tried were too bulky and the fitted sheet kept pulling up.I'm finally getting a full night's sleep and wake up without stiffness and feeling well rested!This mattress topper is for my husband. He says he feels like he is swimming in mud. Too soft. No firmness to the pad. Need to return it but don't know how to get it in a box for return.//Update on this mattress. After sleeping on it for almost a week, husband has reconsidered the effect of the mattress. Now says he thinks he is sleeping better because he doesn't toss and turn all night because the mattress helps keep him in one place. Just took some getting used to. I think the mattress is great. Wish it were on my bed instead of the one I ordered for my Queen size bed.I ordered the full size mattress topper. I've had it for 3 days and so far I love it. It's exactly as advertised. I experienced none of the edge curling other reviewers have described. My topper arrived in a small box but was folded into a roll shape in such a way that it simply unfolded ready to go once I carefully cut open the tube with scissors. By simply slipping my hand unde the edge of the plastic burlap tube I was abIe to press down on the topper and slowly snip my way up the entire tube without damaging the topper. The topper didn't expand out much, either, as others have reported.I did notice an off gassing smell the first night but it's gotten to a negligible level now. I'd recommend anyone sensitive to such odors to unpack the topper and let it air out for a few days prior to use.Otherwise it is extremely comfortable and I've enjoyed it so far.
